The volatile hydrocarbon then evaporates leaving the oil behind the propellant (originally it is a low molecular weight hydrocarbon, now it is carbon dioxide) that creates pressure in the can to push the liquid through the can mouth before evaporating. The product is also sold in bulk in liquid form to manufacturers.
Description
The long-acting active ingredient is a viscous and non-volatile oil that remains on the surface to which it is applied providing lubrication and moisture protection.
This oil is diluted with a volatile hydrocarbon to make a low-viscosity liquid that can be drawn from the air to eliminate cracks.
