Monopropylene glycol (also known as Propane-1,2-diol) is an artificial organic compound, and its chemical formula is C₃H₈O₂. It is a colorless, odorless liquid that has a nearly mild sweet taste.
Chemically, it is classified as diol (contains two hydroxyl groups), and it is miscible with a wide range of solvents such as water, acetone and chloroform.
