Barium Sulfate
Due to its white color and difficulty to dissolve and chemically stabilize, barium sulfate is used as a white pigment, often with zinc sulfide, and the mixture of which is called Litopone which is obtained by mixing barium sulfide solutions with zinc sulfate according to the formula.

Description
Barium Sulfate hardly dissolves in water. To illustrate that in numbers, we only need 1.3 mg/l of water of barium ions to reach saturation.
Barium Sulfate widely exists in nature such as barite which is the main source of barium and its compounds.
